MAPPING CHANGE IN BUNCOMBE COUNTY

A PROJECT OF APPLIED SERVICES, THE REGIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE PROVIDER OF WARREN WILSON COLLEGE'S ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP CENTER

Applied Services draws upon the resources of the Environmental Leadership Center, Warren Wilson College, and the region to provide contractual services in the following areas: biological monitoring and inventorying, GIS mapping and change analysis, organizational consulting for nonprofits, and environmental education consulting and curriculum development.

MAPPING CHANGE

• A community project providing objective, map-based data to analyze change in Buncombe County.

• Funded by the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina.

• Developed in collaboration with a panel of community members representing a broad base of business, government, and environmental sectors who identified five key questions concerning change in Buncombe County.

MAPS

Mapping Change in Buncombe County includes an 80 page book with change analysis and map descriptions as well as 49 maps (16 transparencies and 36 paper) in six categories.
